Privacy policy

The short version

The data controller is Avlas Digital (sole trader, Ireland), trading as checkmyhouse.ie. Contact: [email protected].

No accounts, no sign-up, no database of users. If you buy a report, Stripe handles the payment and we keep only what the sale record needs. We do not sell or share personal data.

What happens to an Eircode you check

It is sent to our server, which forwards the location to the public sources listed on the About page (OPW, EPA, planning registers, MyPlan, SEAI, the Property Price Register, Department of Education) and returns their answers to your screen. The result is cached anonymously for a few hours so repeat checks are fast. We do not link searches to people.

If you buy a full report

Payment is taken by Stripe, which collects your card details and email address under its own privacy policy; we never see the card. Stripe passes us your email address and the address you paid for, which we use to send the report link and for the legal record of the sale (kept for six years under Irish tax law). The report link contains the Stripe session reference; anyone with the link can open that one report. Emails are sent through Resend. We do not add you to any list.

Third parties

Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, which sees the map area you look at. The public data sources above see the coordinates or Eircode being checked. Hosting is by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical logs (IP address, request data) to serve and protect the site; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics: aggregate visit counts, no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. That is why there is no cookie banner.
